In addition, the candidate will collaborate across disciplines to ensure data integration throughout the organization. The position is directly responsible for data quality control, managing databases, support of GIS mapping and analysis, and delivery of files, reports and analysis to support technical work within the geoscience team as well as supporting daily oil & gas operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and best workflow practices for geoscientists that generate, high-grade, and drill oil and gas opportunitiesWork together with Crescent’s technicians and analysts to ensure consistent data management across disciplines and asset teams. Create and manage well and seismic projects and ensure geoscience staff are accessing current and accurate dataImport/Export and quality control of seismic, well, and culture data to and from various applications; syncing data across projects and systems.Able to navigate government and industry databases to ensure high quality data are provided to geoscientists across the Permian. GIS software application support, assisting teams with generating maps and managing and visualizing spatial dataKeeps supervisor informed of progress and may recommend procedural/operational changesEstablishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference useOrders or downloads logs and other recordsInteraction with operations to collect and archive all final well dataAccumulates and analyzes data for reports, makes log cross sectionsTransfers and loads digital log and map dataMakes computations and calculations to assist geologists in their analysisAssists geologists in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgetsEnsures timely completion and accuracy of assigned projectsQualificationsRequired Education, Experience, LicensureBachelor’s Degree5+ Years of oil & gas industry experienceExperience with Kingdom (required) and Petra (preferred) software packagesExperience supporting geophysical data managementProficiency with O&G data sources like IHS, Enverus and TGSFamiliarity with public data sources, including state and federal data in both Texas and New MexicoProficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPointPossess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehiclePreferred Education, Experience, LicensureB.S./B.A. Degree in math, science or related fieldSignificant experience with an E&P Company engaged in unconventional resource developmentProficiency in project and database managementGIS knowledge and experience, specifically QGIS softwareOil & gas data analysis and interpretationFamiliarity with Spotfire and/or Power BIDevelopment planning and/or operations experience is a plusRequired Core Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesWell-developed analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to research informationStrong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracyStrong computer skills and technology skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to identify issues, troubleshoot, and develop solutionsExcellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate high ethical and professional behaviorAble to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and foster and encourage teamworkAble to recognize and apply safety processes and proceduresCrescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
