Delivery Systems Specialist - DriverAt SpaceX, we're leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world's most advanced broadband internet system. We've only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink's potential global impact, and that work starts here with the Materials Management team.The Delivery Systems Specialist position directly supports our Starlink production factory. As Starlink grows, we are expanding our delivery and logistics operations for satellites and ground station antennae. This role is responsible for completing bulk pick-ups, loading, and delivery duties between our Redmond and Bastrop offices, as well as a variety of vendors and suppliers along the way. This is a critical position to the mission of global connectivity, ensuring that building materials and components are delivered to production consistently, safely, and reliably.Responsibilities:Load, drive, and unload manufacturing, test, and support items between Redmond, WA and Woodinville WAOccasionally help with long haul OTR drives from WA to TXOperate commercial vehicles including tractors, 53-ft trailers, vans, and flat-beds meeting all federal, state, and local transportation requirements and regulationsSafely load trucks at pickup points and transport truckload to destination following the rules of the road at all timesSafely load and unload trucks at designated drop-off pointsForklift use will be the primary method of loading and unloading trucksEnsure truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destinationScan barcodes meeting business WMS requirementsContribute to receiving, material handling, and inventory operations within the distribution center and across SpaceX as neededTake driving route origin-destination direction from the internal fleet supervisor and communicate any issues with the immediate supervisor and/or affected parties as neededMaintain and review all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during deliveryMonitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to the manager immediatelyMaintain cleanliness of vehicle and refueling when lowMaintain a safe driving recordAble to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) to track milesBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalency certificateClass A commercial driver's license (CDL)2+ years of experience in short haul commercial driving1+ years of experience in long haul commercial drivingPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience in expediting or material handlingExperience with barcode scanning to document material movementExperience working with aircraft or automotive parts and assembliesExperience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Experience operating a forklift and/or material-handling motorized vehicles and equipmentExperience driving for a high-volume manufacturing environmentExcellent organizational and time management skillsCounter-balance sit-down forklift experienceAdditional Requirements:Must be able to work long hours and weekends as needed based on production scheduleAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. unassistedAbility to obtain a hazardous material endorsement (HME) for Class A CDL license holdersLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionMust be willing to work in an open-aired environment, lacking temperature controlsCompensation and Benefits:Pay Range: Level 1: $29.00 - $34.00 Level 2: $32.00 - $40.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
