As a Transportation Designer / Roadway Modeler, you will play a key role in developing detailed roadway designs and 3D models using advanced CAD software. You will collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient modeling that supports project goals from concept through construction. This includes, but is not limited to: Competitive Pay Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Options 401(k)-match program Paid Holidays Sick and Vacation Days Profit Sharing Tuition Reimbursement Paid Professional Development Excellent Working Conditions The latest industry technology Work-Life Balance Fitness Reimbursement KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create and maintain detailed 3D roadway models using CAD software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Open Roads Designer, or similar platforms Review plans, identify plan issues, prepare RFI documentation Prepare quantity takeoff calculations and project quantity summaries with professional presentation Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret design criteria and incorporate them into accurate models Maintain and update models throughout construction as field changes occur Provide quality assurance reviews of contractor models on behalf of the owner Review and verify design data to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards Mentor junior technicians and designers and provide technical guidance on modeling best practices Coordinate with survey teams to integrate model data into field practices Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in roadway modeling Physical presence is an essential function of this job.
