Job Details Revit Electrical Drafter – Power & Mission Critical Projects Location: Austin, TX or Dallas, TX Department: Electrical Engineering / Power Systems Reports To: Electrical Engineering Manager Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Revit Electrical Drafter to support the design and documentation of power distribution, mission‑critical, industrial, and electrical infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for developing electrical drawings and BIM models, coordinating with engineering teams, and producing high‑quality construction documentation using Revit and related design tools. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting electrical engineering projects, maintaining BIM standards, and producing accurate design documentation in fast‑paced project environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain electrical BIM models and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit. Create electrical floor plans, power distribution layouts, lighting plans, equipment layouts, schedules, and detailed installation drawings. Produce complete electrical construction document packages in coordination with engineering and design teams. Assist with the development and maintenance of Revit templates, families, standards, and workflows. Coordinate with electrical engineers, designers, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and maintain model accuracy. Review engineering markups and implement revisions accurately and efficiently. Maintain drawing revisions, document control procedures, and project records. Support clash detection, model coordination, and quality control efforts. Ensure drafting standards and project deliverables meet client and project requirements. Assist with BIM coordination and project documentation throughout the design lifecycle. Qualifications Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit, preferably Revit MEP or Revit Electrical. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience creating electrical construction drawings and BIM models. Understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting layouts, conduit routing, and equipment installations. Experience with Bluebeam for document review and markup management. Ability to interpret electrical engineering markups, one‑line diagrams, and construction documents. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting power distribution, mission‑critical, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or data center projects. Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and electrical room layouts. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models. Understanding of NEC and electrical drafting standards.
