Double Weekend Charge Nurse

Location: Mesquite, TX

As a Double Weekend Charge Nurse , you will play a vital role in leading our team on the weekends and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

The Double Weekend Charge Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, leading and supervising a team of nurses, and ensuring that our facility's policies and procedures are followed. As a charge nurse, you will be the leader of the team on the weekends, responsible for coordinating patient care, managing staff, and communicating with the interdisciplinary team. You will also ensure that our facility is running smoothly and efficiently, addressing any issues that may arise during your shift.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and performing treatments

• Lead and supervise a team of nurses, providing guidance and support as needed

• Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded

• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

• Manage staff and ensure that duties are assigned and completed efficiently

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

• Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient charts and medication administration records

Requirements:

• Current LVN/RN licensure in the state of Texas

• Minimum of 0 years of experience as a registered nurse

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
