The below job is only being posted by Ponca City Development Authority and is being hired by a local employer.Job Duties:Greet and assist patients, families, and healthcare providers in a professional and friendly manner.Check patients in and accurately enter demographic and insurance information into the EMR system.Schedule appointments and collect necessary information from patients and referring providers.Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient questions and concerns.Explain required paperwork, insurance benefits, and payment responsibilities.Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits, and other patient payments.Reconcile daily transactions and prepare bank deposits.Assist with insurance benefit verification, coordination, and communication.Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.Previous medical office or general office experience preferred.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefits preferred.Basic math and computer skills.Ability to type at least 40 WPM.Must be professional, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
