Structural Engineer

Job Description

Needed immediately : Structural Engineer in Atlanta, GA.


Required:
• Bachelor Degree; Civil/Structural Engineering required
• Master's Degree - Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus
• Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) exam required. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge Revit
• 5+ years of relevant project design experience
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience; strong understanding for core structural engineering concepts
• Experienced in managing projects
• Strong leadership skills - ability to manage and build teams effectively
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious
• Is attuned to other areas as it relates to total project: structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and site requirements
• Experience with related industry software (Enercalc, SAP, Bluebeam, RISA, Tedds, RAM, Etabs)
• Ability to work in a dynamic team setting with overtime as required

Job Details:
• Work closely on construction plans with clients, architects and other engineering professionals.
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations, generate drawings and other technical duties.
• Calculate loads and stresses on complete structure.
• Monitors engineering design schedules and budgets.
• Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Become a complementary member of our team as a whole, and on a project-by-project basis.
• Produce work using computer aided design/drafting hardware and software;
• Work on several projects at one time.
• Perform construction administration
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines
