POSITION: Business System Analyst

SALARY: $128939/Year

HOURS: FULL TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Analyze and document complex business and system requirements by collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts, and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications.

• Perform data analysis using tools such as SQL, Excel, and reporting platforms to identify trends, system gaps, and performance issues, and recommend system enhancements.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), workflow diagrams, use cases, and data mapping artifacts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA teams, architects, and DevOps to ensure successful implementation of system solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming sessions within a structured Agile or SAFe framework.

• Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog, define acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with Program Increment (PI) planning and delivery goals.

• Develop user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria following INVEST principles and maintain traceability using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis to support system improvements and defect resolution.

• Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure effective communication, timely delivery, and alignment across project milestones.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, validating system functionality, and ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Assist in transitioning projects from Waterfall to Agile methodology by supporting change management and process adoption.

• Prepare periodic status reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress, risks, and deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, data governance policies, and system security requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or a related field. Scrum Master Certification required.

JOB LOCATION: Monmouth Junction, NJ, telecommuting permitted, and Future unanticipated worksites in the U.S.
