Schedule: Full-time position with flexible scheduling; 40 hours per week with orientation beginning mid-week

Highlights:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care across the continuum from pre-operative through post-operative phases
• Work with diverse patient populations from birth through elderly, with age-specific and culturally competent care considerations
• Utilize cardiac monitors, autoclave equipment, and standard medical technology in a dynamic surgical environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve quality, cost-effective patient outcomes
• AORN standards-based practice with opportunity to maintain and expand surgical nursing competencies
• Supervisory opportunities in collaboration with charge nurse leadership

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an NLN-approved institution required; BSN preferred
• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Operating Room experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• National Certification in Surgery/PACU preferred
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations required
• Proficient oral and written communication skills with knowledge of medical terminology
