About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital ICU experience License: RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates must meet the following requirements: - Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience - BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications Description: This is a travel RN position in the ICU. The unit has 26 beds and consists of 15 staff members including day and night shift RNs, charge nurses, and patient care technicians. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Equipment used on the unit includes balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy, hypothermia equipment, and cardioversion devices. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates with prior Meditech experience or those who have traveled to large facility ICUs will be given preference. Typical procedures performed on the unit include heart catheterizations, medication drips, and central line placements. The ideal candidate will be driven, organized, and efficient with a positive attitude and engaged demeanor.
