The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and construct precision metal stamping dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair on existing tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling during production runs to minimize downtime.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify conformance of parts to specifications.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery
• Certification in a specialized area (e.g., welding, advanced machining)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Ability to mentor and train junior tool and die makers
