Radiology Technologist

Radiology Technologist responsible for performing X-ray and CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic results in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality X-ray and CT imaging procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care throughout imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic imaging.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Properly position patients and follow radiation safety procedures.
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and imaging standards.
• Support weekend and variable-hour coverage based on department needs.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• Valid state licensure as an X-Ray/CT Technologist.
• CT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an X-Ray/CT Technologist.
• Previous hospital-based imaging experience required.
• Experience performing both X-ray and CT procedures.
• Ability to perform approximately 20 CT scans per day, especially during weekend shifts.
• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
• Strong technical skills with imaging equipment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
