Per Diem Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner Opportunities

Daytime Hospitalist & Nocturnist Shifts Available

We are seeking experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our Hospital Medicine team in a per diem capacity. Opportunities are available for both daytime Hospitalist coverage and overnight Nocturnist shifts in a collaborative, physician-supported inpatient environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for NPs and PAs seeking flexible scheduling while practicing in a fast-paced acute care setting alongside an experienced team committed to exceptional patient care.

Position Highlights

• Per diem opportunities with flexible scheduling
• Daytime Hospitalist and Nocturnist shifts available
• Nocturnist schedule: 7 PM 7 AM
• Work collaboratively with in-house hospitalist physicians
• Shared management of floor calls and ER admissions as needed
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Supportive nursing staff and multidisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical management
• Evaluate and manage acute changes in patient condition
• Respond to floor calls and assist with admissions from the Emergency Department
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Ensure timely documentation and continuity of patient care
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license
• Hospital Medicine or inpatient experience preferred
• Prior nocturnist or overnight inpatient experience strongly preferred for night coverage
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care setting
