Summary: Kais-AIR is seeking an Expediter to serve as a key team member ensuring that operations run smoothly by coordinating the flow of work, materials, and information between departments and stages of the fabrication and installation process. This role is critical to keeping purchase orders, production work orders, and shipments moving on schedule, and requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up across multiple teams to resolve delays before they become problems. Key Responsibilities: Process & Workflow Coordination Track the status of purchase orders, work orders, and materials as they move through procurement, fabrication, and installation stages. Follow up with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to confirm delivery timelines and production readiness. Identify potential delays or bottlenecks and proactively resolve them by coordinating with purchasing, production, engineering, and shipping/logistics teams. Escalate critical issues to the appropriate stakeholders when timelines are at risk. Communication & Reporting Maintain up-to-date status reports on outstanding orders and critical path items. Communicate delays or changes to relevant stakeholders and project managers in a timely manner. Documentation Tracking Verify order accuracy and confirm receipt of materials. Ensure documentation, including purchase orders, packing slips, and Bills of Lading, is accurate and complete. Build working relationships with suppliers and carriers to expedite rush orders when needed. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree is a plus. 1-2+ years of experience in expediting, purchasing, logistics, production coordination, or a similar role. Strong follow-up and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or order-tracking systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment. Familiarity with procurement and inventory systems. Experience working directly with vendors and carriers to resolve delays. Core Competencies: Urgency & Follow Through- Keeps orders and work moving and follows up until issues are resolved. Cross-Functional Communication- Coordinates effectively across purchasing, production, and shipping. Problem-Solving- Anticipates bottlenecks and resolves them before they affect schedules.
