Front Desk Associate

Job Details: Job Location: Primary Fleming Island - FI, FL 32003, Medical Office Check-In Specialist – Primary Care Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Check-In Specialist to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with patients, have excellent customer service skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office environment. Position Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival Check patients in and verify demographic, insurance, and contact information Verify insurance eligibility and collect applicable copays, deductibles, and balances Obtain and update patient registration information Answer phones and assist patients with questions and requests Schedule and confirm patient appointments Collect and accurately document necessary patient information Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk/check-in area Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and other office staff Assist with obtaining necessary forms and signatures Follow HIPAA and Coastal Health policies and procedures Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality Perform other front-office duties as needed Qualifications Previous medical office or healthcare front-desk experience preferred Experience with patient registration and insurance verification preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Professional and friendly demeanor Ability to multitask in a busy medical office Strong attention to detail and accuracy Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record systems Knowledge of athenahealth is a plus What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, dependable, positive, and compassionate.
