K–12 Principal Pingree-Buchanan School District: Pingree, North Dakota Position Title: K–12 Principal Location: Pingree-Buchanan Elementary and Secondary Schools Reports To: Superintendent Start Date: July 27th, 2026 FTE: Full-Time Contract: 220-day administrator contract Salary: $80,000-$100,000 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Position Summary Pingree-Buchanan School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered K–12 Principal to lead our school community. The successful candidate will provide strong instructional leadership, foster a positive school culture, and support the academic and social-emotional growth of all students in a small, rural setting. Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership Lead the development and implementation of curriculum aligned to North Dakota State Standards Support effective teaching practices through evaluation, feedback, and professional development Use data to drive instructional decisions and improve student outcomes School Culture & Climate Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families Support student discipline and behavior systems Staff Leadership Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff Foster a collaborative and positive work environment Support recruitment, retention, and professional growth Operations & Management Oversee daily school operations Manage scheduling, budgeting, and resources Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Community Engagement Serve as a visible and active leader in the school and community Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and stakeholders Support extracurricular and co-curricular programs Qualifications Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field Valid North Dakota Principal Credential (or ability to obtain) Successful teaching and/or administrative experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a small school environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in a K–12 or rural school setting Knowledge of MTSS, RTI, and school improvement processes Experience with teacher evaluation systems Benefits North Dakota Retirement (TFFR) Single Health Insurance Paid leave and professional development opportunities Application Process Interested applicants should submit: Cover letter Resume Copies of transcripts North Dakota administrative license Three letters of recommendation Apply to: Mrs. Dawn Freberg - Business Manager - View email address on click.appcast.io Equal Opportunity Employer Pingree-Buchanan School District is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
