Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ER) Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift | 19:00–07:30 | 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week (Auto-Offer Eligible)
Pay Rate: $58 – $60/hr
Estimated Weekly Pay:

• 36 hrs: $2,088 – $2,160/week

• 48 hrs: $2,784 – $2,880/week

Job Summary

Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity ER setting, including rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination of care for patients across all age groups. Work collaboratively with physicians and ED staff to ensure timely, safe, and effective patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN license (CA or compact eligible)

• Minimum 2 years acute care or ER experience preferred

• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Required Credentials

• RN License (CA or compact) – Required

• BLS (AHA or ARC) – Required

• ACLS (AHA or ARC) – Required

• PALS (AHA or ARC) – Required

• NRP (AHA or ARC) – Required

Unit Details

• Hospital Size: 108-bed acute care facility

• EMR: Cerner FirstNet

• Staffing (Night Shift): 5 RNs + 3 ED Techs

• Call: Not required

• Weekend Coverage: Required (24/7 ED coverage)

• Scrubs: Navy blue (not provided)

Schedule Notes

• 12-hour night shifts: 19:00–07:30

• Option: 36 or 48 hours/week

• Auto-offer eligible position

Floating Requirement

• Floating Required: Yes (within ED support areas if needed based on census and staffing)
