Senior Auditor

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our growing audit team. This role is ideal for a CPA (or CPA candidate) with a strong public accounting background who enjoys working with a diverse client portfolio. The Senior Auditor will lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and collaborate directly with managers and partners to deliver high-quality assurance services while maintaining compliance with professional standards. Key Responsibilities Lead audit and review engagements for privately held and middle-market clients across various industries. Plan and execute all phases of the audit process, including risk assessment, testing, documentation, and financial statement preparation. Evaluate internal controls and identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes. Review workpapers prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching and technical guidance. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP (or IFRS if applicable). Research complex accounting and auditing issues and recommend practical solutions. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and firm leadership. Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service throughout the engagement. Assist with training and mentoring junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA designation or active progress toward obtaining CPA preferred. 3–6+ years of public accounting audit experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and internal control frameworks. Experience working with privately held companies and/or middle-market clients. Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Big Four or regional public accounting experience. Experience leading audit engagements from planning through completion. Exposure to manufacturing, nonprofit, real estate, government contracting, healthcare, or technology clients is a plus. Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
