Registered Dental Hygienist

Position: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Meyer Dentistry – 1212 Haywood Rd Greenville, SC 29615
Reports To: Dentist / Practice Manager

About the Position

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care, educating patients about oral health, and creating a comfortable and positive dental experience.

Our hygienists play an important role in helping patients maintain excellent oral health while working closely with the dentist and the rest of the clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough and gentle preventive dental hygiene care
• Perform dental cleanings, periodontal screenings, and assessments
• Take and develop dental radiographs as prescribed
• Apply fluoride treatments and other preventive treatments as appropriate
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral hygiene
• Review medical and dental histories and update patient records
• Identify and document areas of concern and communicate findings to the dentist
• Monitor periodontal health and provide appropriate periodontal therapy
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
• Provide patients with individualized recommendations for continued oral health
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and office safety protocols
• Properly sterilize and maintain instruments and clinical equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment area
• Build strong, trusting relationships with patients
• Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative team members
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive office culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of South Carolina
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of periodontal health and preventive dentistry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable educating patients and discussing treatment recommendations
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care
• Experience with dental practice management software is preferred

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
