This full-time faculty position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing education through in person classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, professional scholarship, and service to the College and broader healthcare community.QualificationsMaster's Degree in NursingClinical experience in area of expertisePrevious experience in nursing practice and nursing education preferredCurrent PA RN licenseDuties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop courses within the curriculum based on the philosophy of the nursing programComply with College policies regarding syllabiCollaborate with other faculty in developing course materialsUtilize effective communication skills to impart knowledge and provide support through counselingEffectively plan, organize and execute the instructionAssess student needs and progress in both theory and/or clinical practice.Provide students with clinical and lab experiences that enhance theoretical classroom conceptsProvide students with sources of current evidence-based practice information on the subject matterUtilize various teaching methodologies to facilitate the teaching/learning process among the traditional and adult learnersFunction as a role model for studentsProvide academic advisement and counseling for studentsEvaluate courses regarding content and teaching methodologiesMeets requirements for agencies in the clinical settingsScholarshipMaintain current knowledge of subject areaDemonstrate continued professional developmentMaintain current licensure and CPR certificationAssume responsibility for own personal and continuing education and developmental needsServiceActively participate in College-wide committeesShare and utilize current new knowledge and trends in nursing practiceServe as a resource for faculty, students and community when indicated.Foster effective public relationsActively participate in professional associationsAssist with preparation of materials for accreditation and evaluationActively participates in Department Committees as assigned by DirectorSalary & Schedule :Open until filled.
