About the Role:

FT or PT Server/Dishwasher

The Server/Dishwasher position is a vital role within the accommodation and food services industry, responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. This dual role requires the individual to efficiently serve food and beverages to customers with professionalism and attentiveness, while also managing dishwashing duties to support kitchen operations. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation. This position demands flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet the dynamic needs of both guests and kitchen staff. Ultimately, the role supports the overall success of the establishment by enhancing guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role.
• Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., SERV Safe) a plus
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays or dish racks safely.
• Great Customer service

Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders and delivering food and beverages accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware efficiently and safely.
• Assist kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during service hours.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service and kitchen support tasks.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory as needed.

Skills:

The required skills such as effective communication and multitasking are essential for managing customer interactions and balancing serving with dishwashing duties throughout the shift. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene ensures that all tasks are performed in compliance with health regulations, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff.
