About the role

Every product a customer buys passed through back of house first. It was received against a manifest, checked for labels and seals, counted, labeled, and made live in the system before anyone could sell it. As a Retail Inventory Associate, you're the person who keeps the product side of our store accurate, organized, and ready to sell.

This role suits someone who likes getting details right and wants to understand why they matter. You'll work in our inventory systems as much as on your feet, supporting receiving, counts, merchandising, and order fulfillment.

A typical day

• Receiving incoming product against the manifest — checking quantities, package details, and required labeling, mapping product to the right bin, and flagging anything that doesn't match
• Applying compliance and cultivation labeling and working through backstock so every item is complete and accurate before it moves toward the sales floor
• Taking part in daily, weekly, and monthly counts — including the monthly full physical on tablets — and reporting differences between physical and system quantities
• Working daily in Sweed and Metrc: searching by external code, pulling stock reports, and using Excel to sort, filter, and compare inventory detail
• Keeping the sales floor stocked, organized, and merchandised , plus daily activities assigned by the Manager on Duty — closing duties, light cleaning, and securing live product
• Assembling and verifying pickup and delivery orders per SOPs , and posting stock-outs and newly live product so the floor and delivery team know what's available
• Joining daily huddles, ongoing cannabis and regulation trainings , and quarterly townhalls to stay current on products, promos, and compliance

You'll do well here if you:

• Have used an inventory, point of sale, or warehouse system — and pick up new ones quickly
• Can sort, filter, and use basic formulas in Excel , and can open a stock report and find the rows that don't line up
• Work out why a count doesn't match rather than write it off — checking more than one source and explaining what you found
• Ask why a process works the way it does, and remember the answer — the rules and systems in cannabis change often, and you stay on top of them
• Keep accuracy up when the pace picks up — deliveries land during business hours and counts happen at close
• See how one miscounted unit becomes a compliance variance and hours of investigation — and connect the task in front of you to what it touches downstream
• Write a clear note on what you found, who you told, and what happened next
• Work well alongside the floor team, delivery, and leadership

You'll also need to:

• Be 21 or older and able to pass the background check required for a cannabis license in New Jersey
• Have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Cannabis experience? Nice to have, not required. We train you on the cannabis side — Metrc, Sweed, and the regulations that come with them. Warehouse, logistics, pharmacy, and retail inventory backgrounds all translate well here.

The physical part

You'll be on your feet for most of your shift, moving between the receiving room, the vault, and the sales floor. You'll frequently operate a computer, tablet, scanner, and label printer, and you'll regularly lift and carry boxes of more than 10 lbs, occasionally more than 30 lbs. Expect bending, reaching, and working at height to access bin and shelf locations, and regular communication with teammates, leadership, and customers throughout the day.
