Part-Time Dental Assistant

SUMMARY: Children's Dentistry of Knoxville is looking to hire a Part-Time Dental Assistant who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Pediatric Dental field! This position will be scheduled to work Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:50 am-4:30 pm at our Farragut office. WHO WE ARE: Children’s Dentistry of Knoxville is about relationships. Someone who thrives in a busy environment and is a team player. Eagerness to learn and provide extraordinary care to our patients. Previous Oral Surgery experience a plus! RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia. Clean the patient’s teeth. Fluoride application Take, expose and developdigital radiographs(bitewings, panoramic). Provide hygiene and diet education. Take impressions. Schedule follow-up exams. Review schedule to make sure appointments are scheduled appropriately. Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms. Parents consults-discuss treatment plans. Clean and sterilize instruments. Lab work. Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area. Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.
