They understand that every detail matters—from the taste of the espresso to the cleanliness of the workstation—and take pride in maintaining the high standards that define Hometown.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality & Consistency: Deliver consistent, excellent drinks and coach the team to do the same.Maintain standardized recipes to meet quality, taste, texture, and appearance standards.Dial in espresso and steam milk regularly for balanced, well-extracted drinks.Speed & Efficiency: Manage peak times calmly and efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow.Lead by example in maintaining an organized station and keeping the line moving under pressure.Act as secondary cashier during rushes, ensuring service speed without compromising quality.Knowledge & Technical Skill: Master drink preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency.Teach and model Hometown's coffee culture, inspiring skill development in teammates.Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain machines for optimal performance.Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless, organized station, leading by example.Ensure proper sanitation during shifts, cleaning machines and surfaces as needed.Awareness & Hospitality: Anticipate customer needs and provide top-tier service. We don't just serve coffee—we create experiences that keep people coming back.Proactively assist teammates, ensuring smooth bar flow and elevating customer experience.Address customer concerns quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Previous customer service or coffee experience preferred, but we are happy to train the right person! Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
