Bring your expertise in school psychology to a dynamic K-12 educational setting near Eden Prairie, MN. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals who value culturally responsive practices and inclusive service delivery. Two part-time schedules are available: 25-26 hours/week across 3.5 days or approximately 18 hours/week over 2.5 days, with potential for one of these to grow into a full-time position in the future. Exact school assignments are to be determined.
Key Qualifications:
- Education Specialist, Doctoral degree, or equivalent in School Psychology
- Current Minnesota school psychologist license (PELSB)
- Strong foundation in evidence-based assessment, intervention, and mental health supports
- Commitment to equity and inclusive, culturally responsive practices
- Experience with K-12 populations (no early childhood responsibilities in this role)
Preferred Skills:
- National School Psychologist Certification (NCSP) or NCSP-eligible
- Consultation, problem-solving, and intervention support within the MTSS model
- Leadership and facilitation skills to support and influence adult learners
- Crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention experience
- Deep understanding of special education law and compliance
- Prior success in urban, multicultural school settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations utilizing best practice standards
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide consultation and mental health support services
- Participate in the development and implementation of interventions and behavior plans
- Ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations
