Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Cooperate with the Store Manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, particularly during peak hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the Store Manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring they remain current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management on qualified selections. Ensure the telephone is answered in accordance with company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendlily, issue refunds accurately with correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise properly in the returns area. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate ZIPLINE messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain necessary approvals for deviations, and clock in/out correctly. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day-end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and ensuring night security lights, alarms, and delivery vehicles are secured. Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned. Encourage and accommodate bilingual candidates.
