Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, and related interventions within the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP. The RN will support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions prior to procedures and prepare them accordingly.
• Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any clinical changes during procedures.
• Assist physicians and technical staff with catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and related interventions.
• Document all patient care activities, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and imaging techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.
