Regular Full Time Specialist – St. Clair County Community Mental Health, Main, Port Huron, MI, US. Salary Range: $55,001.00 to $63,858.00 Annually. This vacancy closes at 11:59pm on 07/02/2026. Essential Functions An employee in this classification is required to perform some or all of the following duties, though these do not include all tasks that may be expected: Provide direct case management services to persons served (coordination, linking and monitoring of services). Conduct and document assessment of needs of persons served. Maintain accurate and timely records of persons served. Develop goals and objectives in cooperation with persons served, family, support system, and/or guardian, and other team members for appropriate plans. Consistently implement and follow Person Centered Planning process. Provide observation and monitoring of service/goal implementation and recommend improvement opportunities. Develop community connections and coordinate/link with schools, physicians, courts, or other programs/agencies within the community. Comply with Transportation Policy (09-002-0010), Alcohol & Drug Testing Policy (06-001-0010) and Background Check Policy (06-001-0015), as well as supervisors/designee directives. Maintain confidentiality. An employee is expected to support this environment. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. This position receives supervision from the program supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Technical Skills At least one (1) year of experience in a job-related field or evidence of such placements during schooling. Must have experience with SMI and SUD populations. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications and Windows 10 programs. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Special Education, Health Education, Health Administration, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field relative to position. Licensure Valid driver’s license. Other Must have access to transportation. Must qualify as QMHP, QIDP, or CMHP, according to program assignment. If using agency vehicles, passing random drug and alcohol screening. Behavioral Skills Ability to use flexibility in problem solving, using discretion to select an optimal solution from among established alternatives with a clear outcome. Ability to deal with unexpected situations. Ability to use ingenuity in adapting, altering or improvising established alternatives. Using or exerting influence in a work process and being a “work leader” or advising others. Ability to provide, exchange, or explain information which conveys facts, opinions, or evaluations of facts or analyses. Ability to develop and/or maintain effective work relationships/communication with new, established, or non-receptive individuals/organizations through tact, diplomacy and persuasion. Preferred Qualifications Licensure Licensed Bachelor Social Worker. Experience/Skills At least three (3) years of experience in a job-related field. Demonstration of proficiency and experience working on an electronic health record system. Knowledge of CMH system and operations. Lived experience with behavioral health issues. Personal Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee would expect light, regular physical demand, such as frequent standing or walking; close attention to detail. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work environment would involve comfortable conditions, occasional noise, and limited exposure to disagreeable work elements.
