The Role
- Serve as the clinical leader for medical quality, patient care, and client experience, while maintaining a primary focus on hands-on clinical work
- Perform wellness and sick exams, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and urgent care; interpret in-house labwork and imaging
- Mentor and coach veterinarians; lead regular doctor meetings; support consistent standards and protocols
- Partner with the Practice Manager on scheduling, clinical workflows, and team utilization to ensure efficient, high-quality care
- Uphold accurate medical records, clear client communication, and compliant charging practices
- Oversee medical equipment use and safety, controlled substance management, and radiation safety compliance
- Support inventory stewardship and cost control
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of veterinary talent
- Engage with the local community through education and outreach to strengthen the hospitals impact

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (accredited)
- License to practice in Nevada (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong skills in small-animal general practice, routine surgery, and dentistry; urgent care experience a plus
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and communication abilities
- Commitment to collaborative, team-based care with excellent client service
- Comfortable with some evening and Saturday shifts
- DEA registration eligibility; USDA accreditation a plus
- Ability to maintain compliance with controlled substances and radiation safety standards
