Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide preoperative care in a surgical center setting. The RN will support surgical procedures, patient safety, and operational efficiency within the pre-op unit.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Administer IV medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including scrubbing and equipment setup.
• Collaborate with surgical team members and document care in the EMR system.
• Educate patients on pre-op instructions and discharge procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to facility dress code and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and unrestricted driver's license with copy provided at submission.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in surgical care, especially pre-op and OR procedures.
• Proficiency in IV skills and knowledge of robotic surgical systems.
• Ability to scrub in or assist with surgical procedures.
• Flexibility to work day shifts, rotating weekends, and on-call as scheduled.
