TYPIST CLERK III (1103)
EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO SUPPLEMENT THE EXISTING LISTS TO FILL VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR. Employee handles various clerical duties that may include computerized word processing, and when required, supervisory responsibility. Examples of such duties are: processing, financial or payroll records, preparing requisitions, maintaining time and attendance records, and creating, typing, and presenting informational reports. Performs other related duties as required. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalency certificate; PLUS, significant work experience performing varied, complex, clerical duties to include word processing experience as described above. (ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL) Testing Requirements Typing Test Qualifying Only Written Test Weighted 100% Those applicants required to take the typing test must qualify by typing at the rate of 40 words per minute net. The written test is designed to evaluate basic clerical skills, including vocabulary, arithmetic, spelling and knowledge of common office procedures. POSTING NO. 1103En-01DATE: 01/23/09
