Job Description

Description:

Plumbing Lead Installer — D&D Plumbing, Heating & AC (Midland, TX)
$25–$30/hour, based on experience and licensing | Company truck, fuel card, and tablet — yours from day one
Full-time | Non-exempt

Run the job. Lead the crew. Get paid for what you know.

Tired of being the best plumber on a crew that somebody else gets credit for? D&D Plumbing, Heating & AC in Midland is looking for a Plumbing Lead Installer who's ready to step up and run their own installs. Water heaters, repipes, gas lines, tankless — you'll own the job from the first walkthrough to the final handshake with the customer, with a helper working under you and a company that has your back with the tools, truck, and steady work to match.

This isn't a "we'll see how it goes" job. We're backed by a growing multi-state home services group, we've got more work than crews, and we're hiring someone we can build around.

What you'll do

• Lead residential plumbing installs: water heaters (tank and tankless), repipes, water and drain lines, gas piping, fixtures, softeners, and filtration
• Walk the job, plan the materials, and run the day — no waiting on someone else to tell you what's next
• Coach and lead your install helper; show them how it's done right
• Deliver clean, code-compliant work that passes inspection the first time
• Walk the customer through the finished job and leave them glad they called us
• Close out job paperwork, photos, and materials on your tablet — quick and simple

Requirements:

What you bring

• 3+ years of residential plumbing installation; prior lead experience is a plus
• Texas Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber license preferred; TSBPE Apprentice registration required
• Solid water heater, repipe, gas, and drain experience
• Ability to lead a helper and hold the line on quality and safety
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and West Texas weather
• Must pass background check and drug screen
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Why D&D

• $25–$30/hour — no bait-and-switch, no waiting on commission checks
• Company truck, fuel card, and tablet — stop putting miles on your own vehicle
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off and paid holidays
• License and continuing education support — we'll help you get to Journeyman or Master
• Year-round, steady work — West Texas doesn't slow down, and neither do we
• Room to grow — Lead Installer today, Field Ops or Plumbing Manager tomorrow
