Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Architect to support client operations and business solutions through the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise information systems and applications.
The successful candidate will contribute across the full solution lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture and design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operational support. This is a client-facing position that requires the ability to communicate technical concepts, designs, findings, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable enterprise integration solutions.
- Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain integrations and applications using the MuleSoft platform.
- Develop integration architectures and API strategies based on business, technical, security, and connectivity requirements.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide technical support for infrastructure and production environments and recommend appropriate enhancements and improvements.
- Develop program specifications, technical designs, architecture documentation, and other project deliverables.
- Code, test, troubleshoot, and debug integration applications and services.
- Establish and promote development standards and best practices for CI/CD automation, observability, error handling, documentation, testing, and solution architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Conduct architecture and design walkthroughs, code reviews, and technical discussions with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor the performance and operational impact of new products, services, and integration solutions.
- Support testing, training, deployment, and operational readiness activities.
- Present technical findings, designs, specifications, and recommendations to client stakeholders and technical teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- MuleSoft Architect Certification required.
- SAP integration experience required.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft platform.
- Demonstrated expertise in MuleSoft platform administration, integration architecture, and API design and development.
- Experience translating business, technical, and connectivity requirements into enterprise integration solutions.
- Experience providing technical leadership to development teams and establishing development and architecture standards.
- Experience with CI/CD automation, observability, error handling, technical documentation, and solution architecture.
- Experience conducting design walkthroughs, code reviews, and technical discussions with clients and cross-functional or cross-workstream teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8–10 years of relevant professional experience , or a master's degree in a related field and 6–8 years of relevant professional experience .
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP Concur integrations .
- Experience supporting enterprise or federal government clients.
- Experience with cloud-based integration architectures and enterprise API management.
Work Location
Herndon, Virginia: Candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Herndon, VA office are preferred. Candidates working from the Herndon office are expected to work onsite four days per week .
Remote: Qualified candidates who are not local to Herndon may be considered for remote work, subject to business, client, and contractual requirements.
Citizenship / Eligibility Requirement
U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to applicable client, contractual, security, or federal requirements.
Compensation
Salary Range: $145,000–$155,000 per year
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, geographic location, and applicable business or contractual requirements.
