Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including patients in Medical, Surgical, and Neuro Intensive Care Units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Spokane, Washington
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Skills Required: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration, proning, knowledgeable about hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, drains, invasive line monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in ICU settings
• Schedule: Nights, every other weekend rotation; shifts will attempt to be clustered together as possible; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Patient Types: Patients with conditions such as diabetic ketoacidosis, delirium tremens, multisystem failure, acute respiratory distress, alcohol withdrawal, sepsis, pneumonia, COVID-19, open abdomen, thoracotomies, cerebrovascular accidents, intracranial hemorrhage, craniotomies, craniectomies, external ventricular drains, intracranial pressure monitoring, post-operative cardiac procedures, femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC electronic health records, BD Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Float: Floating to respiratory unit (medical floor), surgical, telemetry, progressive care unit, or emergency department as helping hands
• Special Notes: Patients are not expected to care for CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, or ECMO
• Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity
