In addition, the Forklift Mechanic will assist other Maintenance Mechanics with the repairs of other equipment, such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other equipment* Ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner* Read and comprehend technical manuals* Operate lift trucks and equipment as required* Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company policies* Maintain a clean and safe working environment* Other duties as assigned by TAS**JOB SKILLS:*** Ability to work independently and without constant supervision* Good communication skills including good command of the English language, both written and verbal* Ability to maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers* Ability to proactively plan assigned tasks to reduce equipment downtime**EDUCATION & TRAINING:*** High School Diploma or GED**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*** Forklift Certification* 3 + years of experience with forklift repairs* Possess a clean and valid driver’s license* Must have basic mechanic hand tools necessary to complete required responsibilities# PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:* Work performed in a shop environment* Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable* Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness* Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials* Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach* The use of Safety Glasses is required* Hard hat required* The use of earplugs is recommended* Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week* Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.* Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility**COMPANY OVERVIEW:**Join a team driven to excel in all that we do!
