To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome customers, make recommendations, and prepare drink orders
- Adhere to all safety and quality regulations
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accurate charges
- Maintain a clean work and serving area by removing trash and cleaning equipment
- Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers
- Check identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 21 years old
- Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
