ER RN

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) provides skilled nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a 28-bed ER department including trauma bays, behavior health rooms, and cardiac monitor rooms. This role requires strong communication, clinical expertise, and at least two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the ER, including trauma and behavioral health cases.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical care interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.

• Active Registered Nurse license in Hawaii.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in ER or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

• Experience in trauma and behavioral health nursing.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
• Prior experience in a team-oriented emergency department.

• Must have Hawaii RN license by start of assignment.
• Work involves fast patient turnover and high acuity cases.
• Team-oriented work environment with multiple specialized care areas.

• 15-week assignment with night shifts.
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) following orientation.
• No guarantee of hours beyond scheduled shifts.
