Medical Assistant II

The Medical Assistant II provides front and back office clinical support for multispecialty examinations. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, EHR data entry, diagnostic testing, and assisting providers during exams while ensuring high‑quality patient care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Prepare examinees for provider exams, including medical history intake and vital signs Perform diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, EKGs, spirometry, and vision/hearing screenings Administer medications as ordered and verified by a provider Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Enter and maintain accurate records in EHR and case management systems Perform front office duties including scheduling, phone support, and patient check‑in/check‑out Maintain clinic cleanliness, equipment readiness, and inventory Identify and elevate abnormal findings or documentation issues Support safety, compliance, and quality standards Travel up to 5% as needed Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Associate degree in Medical Assisting and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant Certification/Registration required Associate degree in Medical Assisting or equivalent training preferred 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience BLS certification required Experience with EHR/EMR systems and medical data entry Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment
