Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: Flex between 1500 - 0330, 1700 - 0530, and 1900 - 0730 based on department discretion. Experience: 24 months of Emergency Room experience required. Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months. License: Active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license required. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) - NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be obtained during onboarding) Must-Have: - Active PALS, TNCC certificates required. - EPIC electronic medical record experience required. - Acceptable de-escalation certificates: CPI, MAB, MOAB, SAMA preferred. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting. This position requires the ability to manage a variety of patient needs. Candidates must be able to work flexible night shifts. The RN will be expected to participate in unit activities and clinical duties. Employees must commit to working 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays. Successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of emergency protocols. The RN will provide direct patient care in an emergency setting. Communication skills and teamwork are essential for this role. The Emergency Room treats a diverse population and mixture of cases. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are vital for success.
