MacOS Systems Administrator (JAMF Pro Specialist)About the Role: Technology plays a critical role in supporting patient care, research, and innovation at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. We're seeking a MacOS Systems Administrator to lead the management, security, and ongoing evolution of our Apple device environment. In this role, you'll serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise macOS management, ensuring our Apple devices are secure, compliant, reliable, and easy to use. You'll oversee tools such as Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager, develop automated solutions, support cybersecurity initiatives, and help deliver an exceptional technology experience for employees across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable solutions, and staying at the forefront of Apple technologies while collaborating with teams across the enterprise.What You'll Do: As our macOS Systems Administrator, you will:Manage and optimize our enterprise macOS management platform, including Jamf Pro and related Apple management servicesDesign, implement, and improve device enrollment, provisioning, configuration, and retirement processesAutomate software deployment, policy enforcement, inventory management, and device remediation workflowsSupport Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and device lifecycle managementIntegrate Apple devices with identity and access management platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra IDImplement and maintain security controls, encryption standards, compliance reporting, and vulnerability remediation processesPackage, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise applications across the macOS environmentPlan and execute operating system upgrades and application updates while minimizing user disruptionDevelop scripts and automation solutions that improve efficiency and platform reliabilityCreate dashboards, reports, and operational metrics to monitor device health, compliance, and performanceProvide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex macOS issuesDevelop technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support proceduresPartner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, service desk, desktop support, and application teams to improve technology services across the organizationWhat You'll Bring: You may be a great fit if you:Have professional experience managing macOS devices in an enterprise environmentPossess strong experience with Jamf Pro or a similar Apple device management platformUnderstand Apple hardware, macOS administration, security controls, application deployment, and endpoint management best practicesHave experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device EnrollmentAre comfortable creating and maintaining scripts and automation workflows using Bash, shell scripting, or similar toolsHave experience supporting identity management, authentication, encryption, endpoint security, and compliance initiativesEnjoy troubleshooting complex technical issues and identifying root causesCan effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesHave strong organizational skills and can successfully manage multiple priorities and projectsEnjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve servicesWhy You'll Love Working Here: At Roswell Park, technology professionals play a vital role in advancing our mission to eliminate cancer through patient care, research, education, and community engagement.
