You'll work on a wide variety of boats, engines, and marine systems while expanding your technical knowledge through hands-on experience and manufacturer-supported training.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot marine systems.Remove, repair, and reinstall engines, transoms, and outdrives.Disassemble units and inspect components for wear and damage.Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, pumps, electrical, and fuel systems.Rebuild engine components, including cylinder blocks and outdrives.Install and repair marine electronics and accessories.Complete repairs efficiently using the service scheduling system.Maintain current manufacturer certifications.Participate in manufacturer training and certification programs (paid by Goodhue).Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Experience servicing marine engines and systems.Manufacturer certifications (Mercury, Volvo, Yamaha, etc.) preferred.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Education & LicensingMinimum of two years of experience in a repair or service facility, or completion of a vocational/high school automotive or marine technology program.High School diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver's License required.Boater's License preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 70 pounds.Ability to climb ladders.Ability to work in confined spaces.Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.ScheduleFive-day work weekMonday-Friday during the off-seasonWeekend rotation during peak seasonOvertime availableBuild Your Career with Goodhue Boat CompanyAt Goodhue, you'll find more than just a job—you'll join a team that values craftsmanship, supports your professional development, and rewards hard work.
