Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced International Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic tax practice.
What You'll Do
As an International Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in serving a diverse client base while leading engagement teams and mentoring staff. Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, developing a deep understanding of their business and industry to identify opportunities and provide practical solutions
- Managing engagement teams and overseeing deliverables, including tax returns and supporting workpapers
- Performing detailed technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness, and budget compliance
- Reviewing complex international, federal, and multi-state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Overseeing foreign reporting requirements, including FBAR filings and Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 1120-F, and other international tax compliance matters
- Supporting international tax planning initiatives and collaborating with Partners on complex client engagements
- Conducting tax research and translating technical findings into actionable client recommendations
- Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members through training, supervision, and performance feedback
- Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 4+ years of public accounting tax experience, with a focus on international taxation
- Strong understanding of international tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Experience reviewing and preparing Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and FBAR filings
- Exposure to U.S. taxation of foreign entities and individuals, including GILTI, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits
- Ability to research complex international tax issues and support planning strategies
- Strong project management, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or EA designation (or actively pursuing certification)
- Experience with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, XCM, or similar tax technology platforms
