Quality Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support welding quality and manufacturing operations at a growing production facility. This role offers the opportunity to work directly on the shop floor, drive quality improvements, and play a key role in building a scalable quality organization. Description Oversee welding quality throughout the manufacturing process. Perform weld inspections to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Verify products meet AWS and internal quality requirements. Partner closely with welders, supervisors, and production personnel to resolve quality concerns. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support root cause investigations and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor. Ensure quality processes are consistently followed throughout production. Spend significant time in a hands-on manufacturing environment supporting daily operations. Profile Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality experience. Experience inspecting welds or supporting welding operations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection methods. Knowledge of AWS welding standards is highly preferred. Manufacturing experience within metal fabrication, structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or similar industries. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with production and operations teams. Engineering degree is a plus but not required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
