Floor Tech

Lakeshore Nursing & Rehabilitation is hiring for our Floor Tech position. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility. As assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain all floors, walls, wall coverings, ceilings, etc. Always keep the facility in excellent repair. Identify problems and report them appropriately. Take responsibility for all phases of grounds keeping, including: lawn care, weed control, planting, cleaning of parking lots, etc. Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas. Ensure that all driveways, parking areas, walks, and stairs are kept free from ice and snow. (Parking lot snow removal may be contracted by a snow removal service.) Perform regular inspections of resident rooms, halls and common areas for order, safety and any repairs that may be required. Take care of special requests from residents promptly. Use safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies. Assure that established Infection Control and Universal Precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures. Must work with a variety of chemicals, hazardous or flammable materials, and must be aware of their use and their possible reactions. Run errands for parts, supplies, or equipment. Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by Supervisor. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Completion of orientation required by company policy. Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment. Mandatory drug test upon hire. Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check. Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job. Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
