Physician - Anesthesiology

Job Details:

• Board Eligibility required
• Daily patient volume of 40 or more patients
• Coverage provided on an as-needed basis
• Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday shifts are 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday call is in-house, starting at 3:00 PM and ending at 7:00 AM, with a post-call day off
• Average call schedule includes one weekday night per week and two weekend nights per month (one Saturday and one Sunday)
• Weekend call is in-house, either Saturday or Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (24 hours); weekend calls can be taken consecutively if desired
• No beeper call required
• Physician-run OB labor epidural service; physicians perform labor epidurals
• Supervisory capacity in main OR with own cases performed in OB
• Supervision ratio is typically 1:4, sometimes 1:3
• Expert-level proficiency in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia required
• Expert-level proficiency in ultrasound vascular access required
• Expert-level proficiency in OB anesthesia required
• Expert-level proficiency in thoracic anesthesia required
• EMR system used: MEDAXION and Meditech
