Medical Accounts Receivable/Billing/Insurance Specialist

Job Description Dermatology Consultants, P.C. is seeking an experienced Billing/Insurance Specialist with knowledge of medical accounts receivable, billing and commercial insurance to join our team in our Atlanta/Buckhead location. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, great attitude, and patient‑focused work ethic. The role requires multitasking, teamwork, and maintaining a positive attitude in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities: Ensure timely billing and resolution of patient accounts. Handle inbound patient calls in a professional and courteous manner. Analyze and resolve patient concerns using established procedures. Follow up with commercial payors promptly. Follow established procedures for posting payments (patient, insurance, etc). Assist with general practice information and directions to departments within the organization. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Background check. Must be authorized to work in USA. At least 1 year of related experience (healthcare a plus). Previous employment record that reflects work stability, with an average tenure of at least one year. Excellent attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Required Minimum Skills: Knowledge of EMR/EHR and Clearinghouses (NexTech a plus). Experience with insurance follow‑up and claim denials. ICD‑10 and CPT coding. Experience with patient billing and collection process. Typing or data‑entry competency of at least 40 words per minute. Demonstrated professionalism, effective communication skills, and active listening. 1 year experience in medical billing and coding (Dermatology a plus). Supportive of peers.
