Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of banquet dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, quality, and timely execution of banquet offerings.
• Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate meal service times and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering environment.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques essential for high-quality meal production.
• Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
