The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will act as a subject matter expert for Presidio’s Contact Center offerings, working with the local sales organization. Your core responsibility is to expand our market presence by building sales strategies and initiatives to build a sales pipeline for our contact center solutions and services. Responsibilities Service new and existing accounts by finding and cultivating client opportunities for net new and expansion offerings to grow our contact center business: Contact Center Software and Licensing Agreements Contact Center Services Contact Center Managed Services Establish account presence by planning and organizing daily work schedule to proactively call on existing or potential clients independently or with Presidio Account Managers. Establish rapport and trust with key client decision makers. Educate our Account Teams on Presidio’s leading capabilities within the contact center market. Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate services. Increase sales and market share and develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including cold calling, conducting in-person meetings, and partnering with vendors or manufacturers. Maintain a targeted understanding of customers’ business, buying cycles, and relationships to drive sales and repeat business. Create strategic plan with customer’s executive staff to add value and develop a sales plan to meet strategic needs. Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals as defined by management. Manage sales objectives including orders and billing activities to support accounting cycles. Manage ongoing customer account maintenance, update account information in systems, and resolve customer satisfaction issues. Prepare customer quotes and work with support team to ensure accurate request processing. Work with engineering team to accurately design solutions and scope projects. Maintain relationships with all levels of customer contacts, focusing on executive level (Director and above). Adhere to sales process including pipeline development, accurate forecasting via internal tools. Attend weekly Sales Commit calls, presales service requests, and conference calls. Perform proposal writing and prepare sales information for customers. Attend trade shows, marketing events, and perform continuous marketing efforts to new and existing customers. Participate in weekly sales calls with the sales team and management to communicate sales and profit objectives. Participate in ongoing sales training to improve sales skills and stay abreast of emerging technologies, maintaining partner sales certifications. Promote company culture and ethics and establish name recognition. Work in a team environment to enhance all aspects of the sales strategy. Mentor and lead new hires in the market. Participate in company efforts to improve the quality of the sales organization. Understand and sell clients’ voice, telecom, managed services, and cloud needs; experience with telecom carriers, Cisco, Avaya, Amazon, Microsoft and related solutions. Experience establishing relationships with national carriers and developing strategic solutions for existing and new customers. Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles. Knowledge of administration and management principles, specifically in planning and resource allocation. Strong customer service skills and service orientation focus. Required Skills and Professional Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience 3-5+ years of demonstrated sales success Minimum of 3+ years of experience positioning and selling contact center solutions Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Skills and Professional Experience Effective active learning and listening skills Critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills Strong monitoring and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills Excellent public speaking and presentation skills Ability to solve problems using deductive and inductive reasoning Excellent oral and written communication and expression skills Ability to sensitize and forecast problem areas Ability to work closely and effectively with members across departments and all levels of the organization Equal Opportunity Employer Presidio is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disability/Vets.
