DACUT Cannabis Retail is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee all inventory operations and ensure seamless product flow within one of Michigan’s leading cannabis dispensaries.This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader who excels at inventory control, compliance management, and process improvement while playing a vital role in supporting store profitability and customer satisfaction.Position OverviewAs the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, tracking, auditing, compliance reporting, and product organization. You will work closely with store leadership, purchasing teams, and vendors to maintain accurate inventory records, ensure product availability, and support operational efficiency.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to create structure, solve problems, and optimize inventory processes in a highly regulated retail environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability of cannabis products.Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments while ensuring compliance with company and state regulations.Maintain accurate inventory records through METRC, POS systems, and internal tracking processes.Conduct regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing teams to maintain optimal stock levels and product availability.Ensure proper storage, organization, labeling, and handling of all inventory.Investigate and resolve inventory variances, product discrepancies, and compliance concerns.Manage product transfers, returns, quarantines, and waste procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain inventory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve accuracy and efficiency.Generate inventory reports and analyze trends to support business decisions and operational planning.Collaborate with management to forecast inventory needs and support promotional initiatives.Train and support team members on inventory procedures, compliance standards, and best practices.Preferred Skills & ExperienceInventory Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing inventory in a retail, warehouse, distribution, or cannabis environment.Cannabis Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of METRC, cannabis regulations, inventory controls, and compliance requirements.Systems & Technology Proficiency: Experience using inventory management software, POS systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze inventory trends, and implement effective solutions.Process Improvement Mindset: Experience developing efficient workflows and improving inventory accuracy and operational performance.Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and accountability.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of inventory management, inventory control, or related operational experience.Cannabis industry experience preferred.Working knowledge of METRC and cannabis compliance regulations preferred.Strong mathematical, analytical, and data-entry skills.Proficiency with inventory systems, POS platforms, and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.Ability to lift and move inventory as needed.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Must meet all state requirements for employment within the cannabis industry.What Success Looks LikeMaintains industry-leading inventory accuracy and accountability.Ensures compliance with all inventory-related regulations and company procedures.Minimizes product loss, discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies.Supports consistent product availability and a positive customer experience.Creates scalable inventory processes that drive operational excellence and profitability.READY TO OWN INVENTORY OPERATIONS?If you are a detail-driven professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and operational excellence, we want to hear from you. Join DACUT Cannabis Retail as an Inventory Manager and play a critical role in supporting one of Michigan’s premier cannabis retail operations.#Retail26 Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods during scheduled shifts.Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull inventory, boxes, and cannabis products weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach overhead while organizing inventory, conducting audits, stocking products, and maintaining storage areas.Comfortable performing repetitive inventory tasks, including counting, labeling, scanning, data entry, and product verification throughout the workday.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume retail and inventory environment with frequent movement and multitasking.Must possess the manual dexterity necessary to handle cannabis products, packaging materials, scanners, computers, and inventory systems accurately and safely.Ability to use inventory management software, METRC, point-of-sale systems, handheld scanners, and other operational equipment for extended periods.Capable of maintaining a high level of focus, accuracy, and attention to detail while managing audits, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with management, fulfillment teams, vendors, and staff regarding inventory discrepancies, operational needs, and compliance matters.Comfortable working in varying retail and stockroom conditions, including moderate noise levels, tight storage areas, and frequent movement between departments.Ability to maintain organization, cleanliness, and audit-ready inventory conditions at all times.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
