Job Summary

• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
• Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, including Adult Echo studies, following ASE and IAC guidelines.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient charts to ensure thorough and accurate studies.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to critical findings promptly.
• Maintain records of exams performed and manage inventory and supplies for the assigned area.
• Ensure proper imaging techniques and notify the reader when studies are complete.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Education

• Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Documented experience with a minimum of 200 inpatient echocardiography cases.
